By public transport
After having arrived at Central Station by train or bus, take the ferry. There is a free ferry from the Central Station: the NDSM shipyard ferry. This ferry can be found behind the station on the River IJ. Take the blue ferry, which is located furthest to the left and which carries the ‘NDSM’ tag. The trip takes about 15 minutes.
After having arrived by ferry at the other side of the river IJ, walk straight ahead (Ms. van Riemsdijkweg). Turn right after having passed a small marina (tt. Vasumweg). Continue until you can go no further, then turn left and cross the road (Klaprozenweg) – the bridge should be on your right hand side. As soon as you have crossed the road, you are on the Koppelingpad. The canal should be on your right hand side. After approximately 200 meters Koppelingpad becomes Bongerdkade. It’s a fifteen-minutes-walk.
You can also take the bus. Take bus 35 to Molenwijk. This bus can be found at the back of the station.
On the A10 ring road take the exit S118 towards Tuindorp-Oostzaan. At the crossroads go left; then at the traffic lights turn right into Molenaarsweg. Molenaarsweg becomes Cornelis Douwesweg. After two roundabouts go straight over the traffic lights into Klaprozenweg. Take the first road on the left at the second traffic lights (Atatürk). After 50 meters turn right at the T-crossing (Strekkerweg), continue on this road and follow the bend to the left (Koppelingpad). After approximately 200 meters Koppelingpad becomes Bongerdkade. Parking is free.
After having arrived at the other side of the river IJ by ferry, cycle straight ahead (Ms. van Riemsdijkweg). Cross the Klaprozenweg after the traffic lights and turn right on the cycle path. Turn left at the first cycle path on the left before the bridge. You are on the Koppelingpad. The canal should be on your right hand side. After approximately 200 meters Koppelingpad becomes Bongerdkade. It will take about 5 minutes to cycle from the ferry to Dromen op het Water, Bongerdkade 28.
